Hongqiao Union Building

Hongqiao Union Building is an important economic building in Changning District, Shanghai, located in the northeast corner of Hongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone. It is one of the key projects for urban renewal in the “Old Hongqiao” area. The project was constructed by Shanghai Real Estate Hongqiao Investment and China Enterprise on behalf of the company. It started construction in September 2019 and took 40 months to complete. The project was completed ahead of schedule in February 2023 and is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2023. The Hongqiao Union Building covers an area of approximately 15000 square meters, with a total construction area of approximately 109000 square meters, including a 26 story office building with a height of 120 meters and a 9-story commercial building with a height of 49 meters. The project, with the theme of “collaboration”, has created a multifunctional urban complex that integrates office, commercial, catering, culture, leisure, and other functions, aiming to provide high-quality space and services for settled enterprises and consumers.

The project design fully considers the urban landscape, ecological environment, and cultural atmosphere, adopting a modern and simple style and flexible and varied forms, which are coordinated with the surrounding buildings and natural environment. The project also focuses on energy conservation, environmental protection, and intelligent management, adopting efficient and energy-saving air conditioning systems, elevator systems, network systems, etc., and introducing advanced technologies such as intelligent parking, intelligent security, and intelligent property management to provide users with a convenient and comfortable experience.
The surrounding area of Hongqiao Union Building has abundant commercial and living service facilities to meet various needs of users. The Kedelong Dream Shopping Center on the north side of the project is one of the largest shopping centers in Shanghai. The Yili Road commercial district on the west side of the project is an old commercial district in Shanghai, with multiple large supermarkets, department stores, cinemas, as well as various restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. It is a popular destination for Shanghai citizens to relax and entertain.
