Kerry Center is a comprehensive office building project that integrates office buildings, hotels, and shopping malls. It is located at 1515 Nanjing West Road, Jing’an District, Shanghai and developed by Kerry Properties Limited. The project is divided into two phases: Phase I and Phase II. The total construction area of Kerry Center is approximately 450000 square meters, including approximately 152000 square meters of office space, 73000 square meters of hotel space, 86000 square meters of shopping mall space, 133 apartments totaling 18000 square meters, and an underground parking lot of approximately 136000 square meters. Kerry Center is a landmark building in Jing’an District, Shanghai, and an important part of the city’s core business district. It has attracted numerous well-known domestic and foreign enterprises and institutions to settle in, forming a high-end, international, and diversified business community.

PROJECT HISTORY

The project of Kerry Center can be traced back to 1994, when Kerry Properties acquired the land at 1515 Nanjing West Road from the Shanghai Municipal Government for RMB 1.28 billion, planning to develop a comprehensive office building project. The plot of land was originally used for office purposes by the Shanghai Municipal Government, but was later sold due to urban planning adjustments. Kerry Properties officially started construction in 1996 after acquiring the land. This is the first phase of the Kerry Center project, which includes a building with a height of 132.8 meters, 32 floors above ground, and 2 floors underground, known as Kerry Center One. The building was completed and put into use in 1998, mainly as a Grade A office building. The total construction area of Phase I is 66126 square meters, including 35850 square meters of office space, 13743 square meters of shopping mall space, and 133 apartments.

The second phase of the Kerry Center project began in 2009 and was completed and put into use in 2013. The second phase project includes two buildings, namely Kerry Centre Tower 2 and Tower 3. The two buildings have a height of 197.8 meters, with 46 floors above ground and 4 floors underground; The three buildings have a height of 260 meters, with 59 floors above ground and 4 floors underground. Two are mainly Grade A office buildings, while three are mainly hotels and some office buildings. The second phase project also includes a shopping mall and an exhibition center.

The total office area of Kerry Centre Phase II is approximately 113000 square meters. The three hotels have an area of approximately 73000 square meters and are managed by Shangri La Group, named Jing’an Shangri La Hotel. The hotel has a total of 508 guest rooms and suites, as well as multiple restaurants, bars, meeting rooms, and entertainment facilities.

The Jing’an Kerry Center is located at 1515 Nanjing West Road, Jing’an District, and is the core location of the Jing’an District’s core area. It is situated on the southwest side of Nanjing, which has witnessed the history and changes of Shanghai. The project is adjacent to Changde Road to the west and is close to Jing’an Temple. The three Shangri La hotels in Phase II are located north of Yan’an Elevated Road, and the project is divided by Tongren Road to the east. The entrance of the office building’s car dealership enters Anyi Road from Changde Road.
